World Sight Day (WSD) is an annual
day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October, to focus global
attention on blindness and vision impairment.
World Sight Day was celebrated at the Hospital
with the motto “Make Vision Count” on 12.10.2017. An eye screening camp was
organized at Mansoorganj, Kushinagar, in association with Aravind Eye Hospital,
Madurai supported by ‘Focusing Philanthropy’ through SEVA FOUNDATION. The
identified 150 patients were provided free cataract surgeries at the base
hospital.
