AIDS AWARENESS RALLY CONDUCTED BY FATIMA HOSPITAL GORAKHPUR ON 01.12.2015
As
a socially committed hospital, to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS, Fatima Hospital
Gorakhpur in association with Purvanchal
Gramin Seva Samiti and various Schools of the city organized
a rally on 01/12/2015 which is celebrated as the Worlds AIDS Day. The rally
began at 8:30 am from
Chetna Chowk, Golghar and the culmination of the rally took place at ART
Centre, District Hospital, Gorakhpur followed by a concluding programme at 9:30
am. Honorable SSP Shri Luv Kumar IPS flagged off the rally and Shri Ahmed Sharif, Medical Officer, District Hospital gave the message of the day. The
rally was blessed with the esteemed presence of Most Rev. Bp. Thomas
Thuruthimattam, Fr. Sabu P.L (Director Fatima Hospital), Fr. Varghese (Director
P.G.S.S), Members of Gorakhpur Citizen Association and Fathers and Sisters of
the Diocese. Staff and students of Fatima Hospital, Members from PurvanchaL Grameen Seva Samiti, Students from various schools of Gorakhpur
districts, Child line members Gorakhpur etc gave impetus to the rally that was aimed at reviving
flagging interest of the public in fighting HIV/AIDS that is rapidly
increasing.
