General Medical Camp Organized by Gorakhpur Citizen Association for Social Development in collaboration with Fatima Hospital Gorakhpur on 11.10.2015

Gorakhpur Citizen Association for Social Development in collaboration with Fatima Hospital Gorakhpur and Indian Medical Association (IMA) and General Practitioners Association (GPA) organized a free general medical camp on 11.10.2015 at St. Joseph School, Gorakhpur from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm. free medical examination and check up to the backward section of the Gorakhpur city like the rickshaw Pullers, pavement dwellers, slum dwellers, rack pickers etc. The camp was blessed with the esteemed presence of dignitaries of Gorakhpur City such as Mrs. Satya Pandey Mayor, Mr. R.P Sharma Principal B.R.D Medical College, Most Rev. Bishop Thomas Thuruthimattam, Rev. Bishop Dominic Kokkat, Dr. Prof. P. S. Pandey and his team, Fr. Sabu P.L Director Fatima Hospital and eminent doctors from various hospitals of the city. The event commenced by lighting of lamp by the chief guests R.K Sharma who later gave a thought provoking message with regard to the need of rendering medical care and service to the poor section of the society. Around 150 patients were availed medical facility and were informed about the nearby hospital unit for further free checkups and follow ups. Fatima Hospital could provide free medical checkup and medicines to the persons who attended the camp. Doctors, Nurses and hospital staffs from Fatima Hospital gave their humble service to the people who attended the camp. The camp was successful with the participation of poor and needy of the society and the help given by the Child Line Gorakhpur staff and other volunteers were also praise worthy.
